Cheshire Search and Rescue

"Finding the missing and vulnerable any time of day, every day, in all weathers."
The Chester & Delamere Forest Circuit of the Methodist Church has chosen Cheshire Search and Rescue (CSAR) as its fundraising project for 2016-18.  CSAR is called out by the Police, Mountain Rescue, Cheshire Fire & Rescue, and North West Air Ambulance and other teams to assist in the search for missing or vulnerable people, and also to help with rescue activities and major incidents.  The commitment and dedication of the unpaid volunteers is impressive and reflects our church's Christian concern to care for the vulnerable.
The Chester & Delamere Forest Circuit of the Methodist Church launched the project at a Circuit wide Service held at Frodsham Methodist Church in June 2016 when Mark Susca, Deputy Team Leader of Cheshire Search and Rescue addressed those present about the team's work.  Various fundraising events are being planned by the Methodist Circuit between now and January 2018 and every Methodist Church in the Circuit is being challenged to hold at least one event or activity of its own to contribute towards this very worthwhile project
