Community News from the Garden Quarter of Chester

The Community Coffee Morning held at the Uniting Church in Garden Lane on Saturday 5 October was once again very well supported and raised £227.50 which is being donated to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.  Anne Moodie, representing the Hospice, gave a short talk about its work and raised a further £161 selling Hospice fundraising items such as pens, diaries and Christmas cards.
The members of the "Uniting Church" once again wish to particularly thank those members of the Garden Quarter and surrounding neighbourhoods who helped bake cakes for the coffee morning.  Also for the continuing support and immense generosity of the people in this local community and beyond who regularly attend.
The next Community Coffee Morning at the Uniting Church in Garden Lane is on Saturday 2 November in support of the Alzheimer's Society.
